The huge quantity of residues that we generate entails a squandering of raw materials and energy, an acceleration of climate change and the depletion of natural resources.
In Navarra, each of we inhabitants generates an average 450 kilos of residue a year: between 1998 and 2008, our generation of solid urban residue increased by 12.76%. Leer más
For this reason and in keeping with the guidelines set out by the EU for its regions, we take measures that focus on the prevention of residues – in other words, on reducing their amount and on the reuse of the goods we use. Where this proves not to be possible, the next step is to recycle via selective waste collection.
